Customer Account Administrator
Location: Chester
We are working with a well-established and growing organisation to recruit a Customer Account Administrator. This is a busy and varied role combining high-volume sales order administration, internal account management support, and day-to-day coordination of B2B customer requirements.
Working closely with customers and internal teams, you will help ensure accounts run smoothly, orders are processed accurately, and customers receive timely updates from order receipt through to delivery.
The role would suit a highly organised administrator with experience in sales support, customer account coordination, or B2B order processing who enjoys taking ownership of customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Administering the full sales order lifecycle, processing high volumes of B2B customer orders from receipt through to delivery
Providing internal account management support to key customers, handling order changes, amendments, and ongoing requirements
Maintaining regular customer contact, providing updates and responding to order and delivery enquiries
Processing customer forecasts and demand plans using MS Excel and SAP
Producing and maintaining 13-week rolling forecast reports to support demand and capacity planning
Liaising with supply chain, production, logistics, and sales teams to resolve order shortfalls and capacity constraints
Creating and maintaining shortage lists, identifying material and stock issues and coordinating their resolution
Managing stock control and inventory records, supporting clear stock management to prevent obsolete stock
Ensuring all orders are entered accurately into internal systems, with a high level of attention to detail
Maintaining customer master data and undertaking system updates to keep customer and order information accurate
Supporting and actively participating in weekly, monthly, and quarterly demand review meetings with customers and internal stakeholders
Recording incoming orders and daily customer call-offs within automated systems
Proactively managing customer requirements and expectations, ensuring alignment with demand, capacity, and production plans
Supporting continuous improvement across administrative processes and customer engagement
Providing ad hoc administrative support as required
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience in a busy administration, sales support, B2B customer service, or customer account support role involving high-volume order processing
Experience within manufacturing and/or logistics would be highly advantageous
Strong working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
SAP experience desirable but not essential
Confident communication skills and experience liaising with B2B customers and internal departments
Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
Able to manage multiple customer requirements and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proactive and self-motivated, with the initiative to follow up queries and coordinate solutions
