Data Scientist

Desford, Leicestershire – Onsite

12-Month Contract – Strong potential for extension!

Up to £18.74p/h PAYE + Holiday + Pension or £25.66 p/h Umbrella Rate

We're supporting a global engineering and manufacturing organisation in their search for a Data Scientist to join the team in Desford. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a high-profile role, helping to transform how data is used across the business through innovative reporting, analytics and automation solutions.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
• Extract, analyse and manipulate data using SQL and Python
• Develop automated data solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate
• Create efficient data structures in SharePoint, Snowflake and internal systems
• Use DAX and Power Query to deliver meaningful business insights
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to solve business challenges
• Drive continuous improvement through data-led decision making

What We're Looking For

• Experience in Data Science, Data Analytics or Business Intelligence
• Strong SQL and Python skills
• Power BI expertise, including DAX
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical ability
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage projects from concept to delivery
• Backgrounds in manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, rail, telecommunications, IT, FMCG, or similar data-driven sectors will be highly relevant
