Development Chemist
- Annual Salary: £36,000 - £40,000

- Job Type: Full-time, site based
Join a leading company renowned for its innovation and commitment to sustainability. We are seeking a Development Chemist to join our client's Technical Services team. This role is crucial for prioritising workload and ensuring that their technical service activities are responsive, efficient, and consistently delivered to a high standard.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Prioritise and coordinate technical service requests from customers to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
- Support short-term NPD projects and customer requirements, maintaining strong quality and approval standards.
- Ensure laboratory testing is completed safely, accurately, and in line with agreed standards.
- Coordinate trials on production and customer sites as required.
- Work closely with the Senior Technical Services Manager, technical teams, and wider stakeholders to align priorities and resources.
- Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring all health, safety, training, and compliance requirements are met.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Solid experience in laboratory testing, R&D, QC, or technical services.
- Confident prioritising multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data effectively.
- Clear communicator, able to work collaboratively with customers and internal teams.
- Degree or relevant qualification in Chemistry or Polymer / Material Science.
- 3+ years' experience in a similar lab-based or technical role.
- Knowledge of statistics, data analysis, or design of experiments.
- Project management experience or qualification is advantageous.
- Experience of working with coatings, films, additives, adhesives or paper industries is an advantage
