DMI / PMVA Trainer – RMN’s accepted

Location: Nationwide – England
Contract: Bank initially, with potential for permanent opportunities
Hours: Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:30 (7.5 paid hours)
Travel: Nationwide – travel and accommodation provided when required
Positions: Approximately 10

Salary

£16.00 per hour / £120 per day
£31,200 annual equivalent

Actual hours may vary depending on training requirements.

About the Role

We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic DMI / PMVA Trainers, HCAs and RMNs to join our growing team, delivering high-quality training to healthcare staff across England.

This is an excellent opportunity for healthcare professionals looking to develop their training career while using their clinical knowledge and practical experience.

The role will initially be offered on a bank basis, with potential for permanent opportunities as the programme grows. Trainers may be required for 2–3 weeks per month, with additional work available depending on demand.

Birmingham is our main training centre, with sessions also taking place across England, including Manchester, Yorkshire and the North East.

Travel and accommodation will be provided when overnight stays are required, with training dates and locations planned well in advance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver PMVA and DMI training to healthcare staff.
  • Deliver engaging, practical and professional training sessions.
  • Support delegates in developing safe physical intervention skills.
  • Share your clinical knowledge and practical experience.
  • Maintain high standards of training delivery and professionalism.
  • Work alongside another trainer, with a maximum of 12 delegates per session.
  • Travel across England and stay away from home when required.

DMI Training

DMI is an advanced level of PMVA training, providing additional specialist skills and knowledge.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to become certified DMI Trainers, developing their professional training portfolio.

Who We're Looking For

We are particularly interested in RMNs and experienced HCAs with a background in training, teaching, coaching or mentoring.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Current RMN registration, where applicable.
  • Relevant healthcare or mental health experience.
  • PMVA, physical intervention or similar training experience.
  • Training, teaching or instructor experience/qualifications.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A professional and confident approach.
  • Flexibility to travel and stay away from home when required.
