Job Description:

Electrical Systems Engineer

CCL Global is recruiting an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer to support the design and delivery of advanced electrical power conversion systems for high-profile marine and power generation projects.

Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end electrical systems design of motors, generators, drives and switchboards, supporting projects from concept through to manufacture, testing and final delivery.

Location: Warwickshire

Contract Type: 6 Month contract, Inside IR35

Clearance: Active SC or Eligible

Key Responsibilities

• Design and integrate electrical systems to meet customer requirements.
• Produce electrical schematics using E-Plan (or equivalent).
• Create 2D electrical layouts using AutoCAD.
• Develop and manage Bills of Materials within Siemens Teamcenter PLM.
• Support manufacturing, procurement and supplier quality activities.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and technical reviews.
• Apply Design for Manufacture & Assembly (DfMA) principles throughout the design lifecycle.
• Provide technical support across multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Essential Requirements

• Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong electrical systems design experience.
• Proficient with E-Plan (or similar electrical CAD software).
• AutoCAD experience producing electrical layouts.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes, electrical testing and system integration.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Having an Active SC clearance  or eligible to obtain SC.

• Siemens Teamcenter PLM experience.
• Project planning or project management exposure.
• Experience with active magnetic bearing systems.
• Background within marine, defence, power generation or industrial power conversion environments.
