Job Description:

Our client is a leading engineering business operating across the automotive and aerospace supply chain, and they're looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join their Product Development team in Leicestershire.

• Develop embedded firmware and control strategies in C/C++
• Support the full product lifecycle: prototype → validation → production release
• Build system-level solutions using first-principles engineering thinking (model-based approaches welcome)
• Hands-on verification/validation on real hardware
• Debugging, root-cause analysis and performance optimisation (component + system level)
• Interface embedded control with sensors/actuators using I2C, SPI, CAN, USB
• Work within a process-led environment (testing, problem reporting, change control)

• Commercial experience in embedded software engineering (C/C++)
• Degree-qualified (or equivalent practical/industrial experience)
• Strong engineering fundamentals (e.g., thermodynamics / fluids / electrical behaviour desirable)
• Track record of delivering products/systems
• Clear communicator, collaborative approach, strong problem-solving and attention to detail
