Job description
Functional Skills & Vocational Skills Tutor – Further Education
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Tutor to support learners aged 16–19 within a further education setting.
The Role:
- Deliver Functional Skills Maths and English (Level 1).
- Teach introductory employability and vocational skills.
- Support learners in developing confidence, independence and essential skills for progression into further education or employment.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to learners' needs.
Key Details:
- Start Date: 16th November 2026
- Contract: Temporary, ongoing
- Working Days: Tuesday – Friday
- Hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm
Essential Requirements:
- Experience delivering Functional Skills Maths and English.
- Knowledge of Pearson specifications.
- Experience teaching Level 1 vocational or employability qualifications.
- Ability to engage and motivate 16–19-year-old learners.
- Must hold an Enhanced DBS
