Job description

We are looking for an experienced Engineer / Quality professional with an engineering degree and 5–10 years’ experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who can hit the ground running and play a key role across engineering, quality, production, and customer support.

The successful candidate will have a broad understanding of engineering, with exposure to both electrical and mechanical systems, and a willingness to develop knowledge across all areas of the business. Strong customer service and problem-solving skills are essential, with the ability to understand customer requirements and recommend practical solutions.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Support engineering and manufacturing operations, ensuring products meet required quality standards and specifications.
  • Provide engineering support to production and assist with resolving technical and quality issues.
  • Conduct inspections, identify defects and non-conformances, and support corrective and preventative actions.
  • Support the day-to-day operation of the company’s ISO 9001 quality management system from an engineering and production perspective.
  • Experience working with ISO 9001 is desirable; knowledge of higher-level standards such as AS9100 would be advantageous.
  • Good knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD, with experience using AutoCAD.
  • Work closely with sales and manufacturing teams to understand customer requirements and provide effective solutions.
  • Use Orderwise to access customer history, product information and stock records; full training will be provided.
  • Maintain accurate engineering and quality documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop a broad understanding of the company's products, processes, electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Provide excellent customer service and assist with technical problem-solving.
  • Occasional travel to customer sites may be required.
  • Attend approximately 1–2 exhibitions per year, some of which may be overseas.

Skills & Experience:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
  • 5–10 years’ experience within an engineering/manufacturing environment.
  • Broad engineering knowledge covering mechanical and electrical systems.
  • AutoCAD experience with 2D and 3D CAD knowledge.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 quality systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering and production team.
  • Willingness to learn and develop across different areas of the business.
  • Ability and willingness to travel when required.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am–12:30pm
