Salary: £32,916 - £51,048 MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Leicester. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students across Key Stages 4 and 5. The successful applicant will be committed to delivering engaging lessons, raising achievement, and fostering a love of English Language and Literature.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5.
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and achievement.
• Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners.
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
• Participate fully in the wider life of the school, including parents' evenings and staff meetings.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching English within a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English Language and Literature.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A commitment to raising standards and inspiring young people.
