EYFS Teacher (Maternity Cover)

Teaching Personnel is seeking an
experienced and highly capable EYFS Teacher for a full-time maternity cover position at a welcoming and well-established primary school in
Newham.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Early Years practitioner who can quickly establish strong routines, create an engaging learning environment, and deliver high-quality teaching that promotes excellent outcomes for pupils.
The school is looking for a teacher with a proven track record in EYFS who can hit the ground running and provide consistency, stability and outstanding teaching throughout the maternity cover period.
The Role
- Full-time EYFS Teacher position.
- Deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the EYFS Framework.
- Create a stimulating, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
- Assess, monitor and track pupil progress effectively.
- Work closely with support staff, parents and senior leadership.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and Early Years provision.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, learning and achievement.
Essential Requirements
✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
✅ Significant experience teaching within EYFS
✅ Strong knowledge of the EYFS Framework and child development
✅ Proven ability to raise attainment and support pupil progress
✅ Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
✅ Strong assessment and planning experience
This role requires a confident and experienced EYFS teacher. It is not suitable for ECTs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
