FACILITIES ENGINEER (MANUFACTURING SITE) MONDAY TO FRIDAY, £36-38,000 PLUS BENEFITS. Major European Company, great place to work, friendly site with exciting new phase of development ahead.

The Company

Our client is a leading name in several fields of manufacturing, with a major European and UK presence spanning numerous operational plants. As part of the continued growth of the business they are presently seeking a Facilties Engineer to support for their operation in Manchester.

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 08.00 – 16.30 and 08.00– 15.30 on Friday

Job Summary

The Facilities Engineer is responsible for maintaining the safety, appearance, and functionality of the manufacturing site infrastructure. The role supports operational continuity through inspection, maintenance, repair, and upkeep of buildings, services, utilities, external areas, and associated facilities.

Key Responsibilities

· Carry out routine inspections and repairs to buildings, offices, welfare facilities, and external infrastructure.

· Undertake basic maintenance activities including joinery, plumbing, decorating, flooring, door and lock repairs.

· Maintain site lighting systems and replace lamps where appropriate.

· Complete planned inspections and statutory checks.

· Assist with permit-to-work systems and contractor control processes.

· Take and record utility meter readings including electricity, gas and water.

· Maintain site cleanliness and presentation standards.

· Support engineering activities during shutdowns and planned maintenance periods.

· Escort contractors and monitor compliance with site rules.

· Record completed work using the site CMMS system.

Person Specification

· Experience within manufacturing or industrial environments

· Facilities, maintenance, building services engineering experience

· Good communication and organisation skills

· Strong safety awareness

· IT literacy including Microsoft Office

· Proactive Approach

Desirable Requirements

· NVQ or trade qualification

· IPAF or FLT license(company can provide)

· Legionella awareness

· IOSH training
