Job description

Are you an experienced Family Paralegal looking to join a friendly, supportive firm where your contribution will make a real difference?

Our client is a well-established regional law firm that has been serving its local community for almost 20 years. Having grown steadily through reputation, referrals and exceptional client care, they are now looking to appoint a Family Paralegal to help shape the next stage of the firm's growth.

This is more than just a Paralegal position; the firm is looking for someone who enjoys building long-term relationships with clients, introducers and the local community, and who is keen to play an active part in developing and growing the Family law offering.

Whether you're a Family Paralegal with experience of supporting a busy Fee Earner, or a more experienced senior Paralegal that has experience of taking instructions and fee earning, you'll join a collaborative and supportive firm that supports and actively encourages growth.

What's on offer?

  • Christmas office closure
  • Hybrid working after successful completion of probation
  • Workplace pension
  • Death in Service benefit (2x annual salary)
  • Cash Plan Health Scheme and Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
  • Additional annual leave with length of service
  • The opportunity to help grow and develop a newly opened Family department
  • A friendly, supportive and collaborative working environment

The successful candidate will provide support on a range of family law matters, including divorce, financial settlements, child arrangements and other private family work.

Key responsibilities will include assisting with case preparation, drafting correspondence and legal documents, conducting legal research, liaising with clients and third parties, managing case files, and supporting the progression of matters from instruction through to resolution.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in family law, excellent organisational and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage a busy caseload effectively. A proactive approach and genuine interest in developing a career within private family law are essential.

If you're looking for a role where your ideas are welcomed, your career can continue to develop, and you'll have the support and autonomy to make a genuine impact, we'd love to hear from you.
