Family Solicitor – 3+ PQE

Location: Leicester
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

The Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Family Solicitor with 3+ years’ PQE to join an established and growing legal team based in Leicester.

The successful candidate will have experience in family law and will be responsible for managing their own caseload, providing high-quality legal advice and supporting clients throughout their matters.

This is a varied role offering the opportunity to work across a range of family law matters within a supportive and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of family law matters from instruction through to conclusion

• Advising clients on a range of family law issues

• Handling matters relating to divorce, separation, finances and children

• Preparing legal documents, correspondence and Court paperwork

• Advising and representing clients throughout the legal process

• Negotiating settlements where appropriate

• Liaising with clients, barristers, Courts and other professionals

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records

• Ensuring matters are progressed efficiently and in accordance with relevant procedures

• Providing a high standard of client care

• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the department

• Complying with all relevant professional, regulatory and firm requirements

About You

The ideal candidate will:

• Be a qualified solicitor with at least 3 years’ PQE

• Have previous experience working within a Family department

• Be confident managing their own caseload

• Have good knowledge of family law and relevant procedures

• Have strong communication, drafting and negotiation skills

• Be client-focused and able to build strong professional relationships

• Have excellent organisational and time-management skills

• Be able to work independently while also contributing effectively to a wider team

• Demonstrate a professional and pragmatic approach to their work
