We are very pleased to be working alongside our highly reputable and busy client as they seek to recruit a Finance Officer on a full time and permanent basis

Finance Manager

Haywards Heath outskirts - with plenty of parking available for all staff on site. Due to rural workplace location it is essential to be a driver and have your own transport

Full time permanent role - Monday - Friday 0830-1700 - office based.

£42000-£47000 plus good all round company benefits - including - Profit sharing scheme, Private medical insurance, Dental insurance, Regular staff socials, Weekly fruit basket, pension scheme and 20 days holiday plus all UK bank holidays. Holiday entitlement increases with length of service.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a broad finance role within a well-established international business. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders, manage the finance function across multiple entities and contribute to the continued success of the organisation.

The role - Finance Manager

Based in a beautiful countryside location, this is a standalone finance role offering responsibility for the full finance function across multiple companies within the group. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, payroll, statutory compliance and year-end processes.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Manage the day-to-day finance function across multiple group companies.
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping and accounting records.
• Prepare month-end and year-end accounts.
• Manage VAT and CT61 reporting requirements.
• Process monthly payroll.
• Prepare audit documentation and support year-end audits.
• Handle multi-currency transactions and reconciliations.
• Produce financial reports and analysis using Excel.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company procedures.
• Work to deadlines in a busy and varied environment.

Experience, skills and competencies required:

• Previous experience in a Finance Manager or similar accounting role.
• Strong understanding of month-end, year-end and audit processes.
• Experience managing VAT and CT61 requirements.
• Proven experience working with multi-currency accounts.
• Strong knowledge of accounting systems, ideally QuickBooks.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and work to tight deadlines.
• Positive, proactive and hands-on approach.
