Flood Risk & Drainage Consultant

Salary: £35,000-£45,000 per annum
Location: Wimbledon

Are you an experienced Flood Risk & Drainage professional looking for your next opportunity?

An established and independent environmental consultancy are looking for an accomplished Flood Risk & Drainage Consultant to join their expanding team in Wimbledon. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a range of exciting projects, providing practical and sustainable solutions in flood risk, drainage, and SuDS.

As a Flood Risk & Drainage Consultant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing technical flood risk, drainage, and SuDS assessments.
  • Undertaking hydrological and hydraulic modelling and interpreting results.
  • Working with drainage modelling software and CAD packages.
  • Supporting business development - including preparing project quotations/tenders and communicating with clients
  • Managing multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Writing clear and comprehensive technical reports.
  • Planning and conducting site investigations

The requirements for the Flood Risk & Drainage Consultant:

  • A degree in a relevant subject
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience within flood risk, drainage, hydrology or a related environmental discipline.
  • Experience with drainage modelling packages such as Causeway Flow, MicroDrainage or AutoCAD.
  • Strong technical report-writing abilities.
  • Confidence when communicating with clients and other stakeholders.
  • The ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities within a busy consultancy environment.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Full right to work in the UK.
  • Ideally based in or within a commutable distance of Wimbledon.
