Production Operative with FLT Licence

Location: South Wigston, LE18
Contract: Temporary to permanent
Pay: £15.65 per hour (£17.53 per hour including rolled-up holiday pay)
Hours: Monday to Friday, minimum eight hours per day guaranteed
Shifts: 6:00am–2:00pm or 8:00am–4:00pm
Start date: Immediate, subject to an onsite interview and basic DBS check

Proman Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a client based in South Wigston for an experienced Production Operative with valid Counterbalance and Reach forklift licences. This is a varied role within a small team and offers a genuine opportunity to secure a permanent position.

About the Role

• Operating Counterbalance and Reach forklift trucks
• Supporting goods-in and goods-out activities
• Loading and unloading deliveries
• Completing production and material-mixing duties
• Carrying out a range of general duties as part of a small team
• Following site procedures and maintaining a safe, organised working environment

Pay and Progression

While working through Proman Recruitment, the pay rate is £15.65 per hour, or £17.53 per hour including rolled-up holiday pay. Once permanent, the starting salary is £28,485 per year, rising to £29,293 following successful completion of training.

What We Are Looking For

• Valid external Counterbalance and Reach forklift licences; in-house or expired licences cannot be accepted
• At least six months’ Counterbalance forklift experience
• Experience in production, manufacturing or other precision-based work is preferred but not essential
• Comfort working in a varied, hands-on role
• Right to work in the UK
• Applicants must be aged 21 or over
• Willingness to complete a basic DBS check; the cost will be reimbursed after your first full week
• Temporary-to-permanent opportunity
