Freelance Site Manager

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting a Site Manager on behalf of a respected main construction contractor to oversee a new‑build project within the leisure/accommodation sector. The scheme runs from October through to April and requires strong site leadership, programme control and consistent quality management.

Role Responsibilities

• Daily management of site operations, subcontractors and trades

• Driving programme, sequencing and short‑term planning

• Managing scheduling, look‑ahead planning and coordinating daily/weekly progress

• Handling site‑level purchasing, materials call‑offs and ensuring timely deliveries

• Overseeing external works, internal fit‑out, M&E coordination and associated civils

• Ensuring full compliance with H&S standards, RAMS, inductions and permits

• Liaising with visiting PMs, client reps and design teams

• Managing QA processes, snagging and handover documentation

Candidate Requirements

• Experience delivering projects in the accommodation sector; background in hotels or apartment schemes is a strong advantage

• Strong organisational and communication skills

• SMSTS, First Aid, CSCS

• Ability to maintain high safety and quality standards while keeping programme on track

Package

• Up to £350/day CIS

• October – April contract
