Job Description:

IMH Recruitment are currently looking for experienced Craft Gardeners to work for our client across Leicester.

The Role:

You will be responsible for carrying out high-quality horticultural and grounds maintenance work across Leicester's parks, open spaces and green areas.

For the below Depots:

• Knighton Park Depot
• Evington Park Depot
• Abbey Park Depot

Duties will include:

• General horticulture and grounds maintenance
• Maintaining parks, green spaces and landscaped areas
• Maintaining sports areas and artificial surfaces
• Developing and maintaining hard and soft landscaping
• Using horticultural hand tools and specialist equipment
• Driving and operating tractors
• Applying chemicals such as herbicides, fungicides and insecticides
• Keeping sites clean, safe and tidy
• Providing advice and assistance to members of the public
• Completing basic paperwork and reporting any issues
• Working as part of a team and independently

Requirements:

• Previous experience in horticulture, gardening or grounds maintenance
• Full UK Driving licence is essential.
• Experience using horticultural equipment
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Good understanding of Health & Safety
• Horticulture/Grounds Maintenance qualification preferred
• Tractor driving experience/qualification desirable
• Pesticide application qualification desirable
• Candidates must have their own safety boots

Hours & Pay:

• Monday–Thursday: 7:30am–3:30pm
• Friday: 7:30am–3:00pm
• 30-minute unpaid lunch
• £13.49 Per Hour
• Weekly via agency!
