This position would suit a recent graduate looking to develop their career or, ideally, someone with around 12 months' practical surveying experience who is ready to build on their existing skills.

You'll be joining a knowledgeable and supportive team where you'll have the opportunity to develop your technical abilities, take on more responsibility and progress your career.

YOUR NEW ROLE

  • Assist with and undertake topographical land surveys across a variety of sites and projects.

  • Carry out measured building surveys, including floor plans, elevations and sections.

  • Use surveying equipment including Total Stations, GPS/GNSS and 3D laser scanners.

  • Collect, process and interpret accurate survey data.

  • Assist with producing survey drawings, plans and deliverables using AutoCAD and associated surveying software.

  • Support engineering surveys, setting out and site monitoring activities where required.

  • Work alongside experienced surveyors to ensure projects are delivered accurately, safely and efficiently.

  • Liaise with colleagues and clients to ensure survey requirements are understood and achieved.

  • Maintain high standards of health and safety while working on site.

ABOUT YOU

  • A degree, HNC or HND in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Ideally around 1 year's practical experience in land or topographical surveying, although enthusiastic graduates will be considered.

  • Some experience using Total Stations and GPS/GNSS surveying equipment.

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar surveying software would be advantageous.

  • A good understanding of surveying principles and data collection techniques.

  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.

  • Confident working outdoors and travelling to different project locations.

  • Good communication skills and a proactive, practical approach.

  • A full UK driving licence is preferred.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

  • Competitive salary of £30,000 – £35,000, depending on experience.

  • Exposure to a wide variety of surveying projects across different sectors.

  • Hands-on training and support from experienced surveyors.

  • Opportunity to work with modern surveying technology, including 3D laser scanning equipment.

  • A supportive working environment with opportunities to develop your skills.

  • Genuine scope to progress as your experience and confidence grow.
