Head of Finance & Business Services Transformation Consulting
Shape the Future of Finance Transformation
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven consulting leader to build and lead a high-growth Finance, Procurement and Shared Services Transformation Consulting practice.
This is a rare opportunity to join a newly established consulting business and play a pivotal role in shaping its strategy, propositions, market presence and growth. You will work with CFOs, Finance Directors, Chief Procurement Officers, COOs and Transformation Leaders to deliver large-scale finance, procurement, shared services and enterprise-wide cost transformation programmes.
Combining strategic advisory expertise with technology, AI and operational delivery capabilities, you will help clients achieve measurable business outcomes while building a market-leading consulting practice.
The Opportunity
As Head of Finance & Business Services Transformation Consulting, you will:
- Define and execute the vision, strategy and growth plan for the consulting practice.
- Build trusted relationships with senior executives across Public Sector, Financial Services and Utilities.
- Drive business development, sales origination and major bid pursuits.
- Lead complex transformation programmes from strategy through implementation and benefits realisation.
- Develop innovative propositions that combine advisory, AI, technology and managed service capabilities.
- Recruit, mentor and lead a high-performing consulting team.
- Own revenue growth, profitability and utilisation targets.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Growth
- Create and deliver the practice's go-to-market strategy.
- Develop relationships with CFOs, Finance Directors, CPOs and COOs.
- Identify, qualify and win high-value transformation engagements.
- Lead proposal development, commercial negotiations and competitive bids.
- Partner with account and sales teams to build consulting pipelines and expand client relationships.
- Represent the business through thought leadership, industry events and executive forums.
Client Engagement & Delivery
- Act as Executive Engagement Lead on major transformation programmes.
- Provide programme governance, financial oversight and risk management.
- Lead finance, procurement and shared services transformation initiatives.
- Deliver measurable outcomes including cost reduction, productivity improvement, revenue enhancement and working capital optimisation.
- Ensure consulting solutions align with scalable operational and managed service delivery models.
Practice Leadership
- Build and scale a market-leading consulting capability.
- Develop methodologies, frameworks, accelerators and repeatable assets.
- Drive innovation across AI, automation, data and digital transformation.
- Create thought leadership and market-facing propositions.
- Coach, develop and grow consulting talent.
What We're Looking For
Experience
- Significant experience leading large-scale, technology-enabled transformation programmes within a consulting environment.
- Proven track record in business development, sales origination and winning complex consulting engagements.
- Experience building and growing consulting practices or transformation functions.
- Strong executive presence and credibility with senior business leaders.
- Demonstrable success delivering AI-enabled and technology-driven transformation programmes.

Qualifications
Essential
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification.
- Consulting background or relevant transformation leadership experience.
- Demonstrated success in sales and business development.
