The Opportunity

We're working with a fast-growing software business investing heavily in engineering transformation, platform modernisation and AI-driven delivery. As part of that journey, they're creating a brand-new leadership role to bring Product and Engineering closer together than ever before.

This isn't a traditional Product position.

We're looking for a technically credible leader who can cut through complexity, balance competing priorities across multiple engineering functions, and build a clear, commercially-driven roadmap that enables teams to focus on what delivers the greatest value. Based on the job specification this role sits at the heart of demand management, prioritisation, engineering investment and AI-led innovation.

What You'll Be Doing

• Acting as the key bridge between Product, Engineering and senior business stakeholders.
• Turning competing requests into a clear, prioritised and commercially aligned roadmap.
• Leading Product Managers and Technical Product Owners across a portfolio of engineering capabilities.
• Driving investment decisions based on customer impact, commercial value, risk and operational outcomes.
• Bringing consistency and structure to backlog management, planning and delivery governance.
• Working across Platform Engineering, Data Engineering, Identity & Access Management, APIs and AI initiatives.
• Championing AI adoption and agentic engineering practices to improve delivery speed and quality.
• Influencing executive stakeholders and helping shape the future technology strategy of the organisation.

What We're Looking For

• A Product leader with strong engineering credibility.
• Experience operating at the intersection of Product and Software Engineering.
• Proven leadership of Product Managers, Technical Product Owners or similar teams.
• Someone who understands how modern software is built and delivered, not just how it's sold.
• Strong commercial judgement and the ability to prioritise competing demands.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence senior leadership.
• Passion for AI, automation and the future of engineering delivery.
• A collaborative, pragmatic leader who thrives in fast-moving environments.

You'll work across a diverse and evolving technology estate, including:

AWS | Azure | .NET | Java | Python | AI & Agentic Engineering

Deep expertise in every technology isn't required, but you'll need the credibility to engage engineering leaders, challenge constructively and make informed prioritisation decisions.
