HGV Class 2 Driver - Mechanical Brush Lorry / RORO & Refuse Lorry

£20.23 - £24.10 per hour via Umbrella | 37 hours per week | Temporary, Ongoing

We are recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join a busy local authority team on a temporary, ongoing basis.

The role will primarily involve driving a mechanical brush lorry, helping to maintain roads and public areas. You may also operate RORO skip lorries and other HGV vehicles.

Key duties:

• Drive and operate HGV and specialist vehicles safely
• Operate mechanical brush / road sweeper vehicles
• Operate RORO skip lorries when required
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects
• Follow health and safety procedures

Essential requirements:

• HGV Class 2 / Category C licence
• Previous HGV driving experience
• Valid Driver CPC
• Tachograph experience
• Reliable and professional approach
• Good understanding of vehicle safety checks

Previous experience with mechanical brush vehicles, RORO, highways, waste or local authority work is desirable.
