HGV Plant Fitter

Workshop & Mobile HGV / Plant Fitter role with a modern fleet, Monday – Friday work, and excellent earning potential.

Location: Hickling, LE14 3AH (within 20-mile radius required)
Salary: £47,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 17:30

Experienced HGV Fitter / Plant Fitter

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV / Plant Fitter to join our team, working both in the workshop and mobile via a fully equipped mobile service van. You will be working on a modern fleet of Scania tippers, road sweepers, low loaders, and a range of associated construction plant.

AE Faulks is a well-established, family-run plant hire and haulage business with over 50 years of experience supporting the construction industry across the Midlands.

Operating from a purpose-built site in Hickling, the company runs a modern fleet and has built a strong reputation for reliability, quality, and long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of HGVs, plant machinery, and commercial vehicles
• Fault finding, diagnostics, and inspections
• Workshop-based servicing with some mobile fitter duties
• Ensuring vehicles and plant are compliant and roadworthy

Salary & Benefits

• £47,000 - £50,000 per annum (depending on experience)
• Monday to Friday - no weekend work
• Company van supplied for mobile work
• Fuel provided from depot
• Stable, full-time position

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an HGV fitter, plant fitter, or heavy vehicle technician
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Experience with commercial vehicles, plant machinery, or construction equipment
• HGV licence advantageous (not essential)
• Must live within a 20-mile radius of LE14 3AH
