HGV TECHNICIAN£60,000 to £65,000
EAST LONDON
If you're a qualified HGV Technician / PSV Technician / Truck Mechanic / Bus Mechanic / PSV Mechanic looking for a higher-rate shift position, this could be an excellent opportunity.
We're looking for an experienced technician to join a busy engineering operation in East london, working on a fleet of buses and keeping vehicles safe, reliable and ready for service.
The role of the HGV Technician / PSV Technician / Truck Mechanic / Bus Mechanic / PSV Mechanic
This is a hands-on engineering position where you'll be responsible for the maintenance and repair of PCV vehicles.
- Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance on buses.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
- Completing inspections, servicing and repairs.
- Working on braking, suspension, steering, engines and other vehicle systems.
- Using diagnostic equipment to identify and rectify faults.
- Ensuring vehicles meet required safety and operational standards.
- Carrying out repairs efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime.
- Completing relevant maintenance documentation.
- Working as part of a professional engineering team on a shift basis.
What you’ll need as HGV Technician / PSV Technician / Truck Mechanic / Bus Mechanic / PSV Mechanic
- NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance, Vehicle Technology or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician, Bus Technician, PSV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
- A PCV licence.
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good understanding of vehicle safety and maintenance requirements.
- Flexibility to work any 5 days out of 7.
