This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate, motivated and reliable individual who wants to make a genuine difference to residents while developing their career in Housing, Intensive Housing and Supported Living.

The Role

As an IH & Support Officer, you will work directly with residents to promote independence, wellbeing, safety and tenancy sustainment.

You will provide person-centred, housing-related support to adults who may have mental health needs, learning disabilities or other supported living requirements.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering planned Intensive Housing and housing-related support.

  • Building positive, professional relationships with residents.

  • Supporting residents to maintain their tenancies and achieve agreed goals.

  • Identifying and appropriately escalating safeguarding, risk, welfare and tenancy concerns.

  • Contributing to support plans, assessments and regular reviews.

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case notes, records and housing documentation.

  • Promoting independence, choice and tenancy sustainment.

  • Working collaboratively with care providers, colleagues and external partner agencies.

  • Responding appropriately to changing circumstances and emerging risks.

  • Supporting residents to develop the skills and confidence required to live as independently as possible.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Compassionate, respectful and genuinely committed to supporting residents.

  • Reliable, organised and accountable.

  • Confident working independently and using their own initiative.

  • A strong communicator who can build positive professional relationships.

  • Able to assess situations, identify risks and make appropriate decisions.

  • Comfortable working with vulnerable adults and individuals with complex needs.

  • Positive, flexible and willing to learn.

  • Able to work effectively as part of a wider multidisciplinary team.

  • Committed to safeguarding, equality, dignity and person-centred support.

  • Motivated to develop a long-term career within Housing.

Essential Requirements

You will ideally have experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Supported Housing

  • Supported Living

  • Social Housing

  • Housing Management

  • Community Support

  • Mental Health

  • Learning Disabilities

  • Health & Social Care

  • Tenancy Sustainment

  • Other relevant community or support environments

A Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, Housing, or a related discipline would be beneficial, although relevant experience will be considered.

Further Housing, CIH or related qualifications are desirable but not essential, as full training and development opportunities will be available.

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for this field-based role.
