Job description

We are looking to recruit skilled Boat Builders, Fabricators, Shipwrights or Joiners to support a busy new build programme manufacturing specialist HTP (High Performance Thermoplastic) boats at our client's facility in Pembroke.

Working as part of a dedicated production team, you will be involved in the fabrication, fitting and finishing of boats within a fast paced production environment. Whilst previous experience working with HTP is not essential, the nature of the work makes this role particularly well suited to candidates from boatbuilding, shipwright, joinery and woodworking backgrounds.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long hours contract with a well established marine business, working on a high volume new build programme.

• Fabrication and assembly of HTP boat structures and components.
• Working from engineering drawings, production instructions and build specifications.
• Measuring, marking out and preparing materials.
• Installing hull fittings, deck fittings and internal components.
• Using hand and power tools to carry out assembly and finishing work.
• Conducting quality inspections throughout the build process.
• Maintaining production targets while ensuring high standards of workmanship.
• Adhering to health and safety procedures at all times.

• Previous experience within fabrication, manufacturing, boatbuilding, joinery or a similar hands-on production environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Competent using hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Ability to work effectively within a production team.
• Available to commit to a 3-month contract and work 60 hours per week.

Applicants from joinery, boatbuilding, woodworking and fabrication backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Direct experience of HTP is not required, and candidates with strong practical build, fitting and assembly skills will be able to transfer their experience successfully into this role.
