Junior Applications Engineer
Location: Coventry
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 + benefits
Hours: 37 per week – Monday to Thursday 8:00–16:30, Friday 8:00–13:00

The company
Our client is a long-established Coventry engineering manufacturer, designing and building precision products for customers in the UK and around the world. They are growing their engineering team and need a Junior Applications Engineer. The role would suit a strong graduate who is keen to get stuck in.

The role

• Act as a technical point of contact for customers, understanding their requirements and recommending the right product
• Manage your own projects from enquiry through to delivery
• Carry out product selection and basic engineering calculations
• Prepare technical proposals, quotations and supporting documentation
• Work closely with design, production and sales to make sure customer needs are met
• Pass customer special requests and product feedback to the design team

About you

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar; recent graduates are welcome
• Confident communicator, comfortable speaking with customers
• Organised and able to manage your own workload and projects
• Willing to learn and get stuck in
• Desirable: transmission or driveline experience, a manufacturing background, SolidWorks or other 3D CAD
