Junior Sales Engineer

Leicester

£28,000 – 35,000 

We are working with a growing Leicestershire business who can offer some an exciting career progression to a Sales Engineer’s role.    The business are looking to hire someone initially as an internal sales engineer who with direct mentoring from the companies Managing Director will learn how to produce proposals and quotations for the projects the company deliver.

As you gain expertise with the company and their sales processes you can then emerge in time into a full external sales engineer carrying out business development activities winning projects for the company.

The business are happy to consider junior sales engineers or engineering graduates who are keen to carve out a career in sales.

The Role

The Junior Sales Engineer will support the external sales engineer by producing proposals documents for enquiries he is bringing in.   You will be producing proposals for systems which can range from 5K up to 500K and could be working on several proposals required at speed, the business aims to provide proposals within 72 hours of receiving enquiry.

Your key responsibilities will involve:

• Sizing equipment needed for project including filter, fans and motors.
• Establishing proposed costing for the equipment.
• Working out the ducting runs required for the system and proposed costs.
• Liaising with customers regards proposals being produced from shop floor right up to MD level.
• You will be producing proposals for projects that can range from 5K up to 500K.
• Creating final written proposal for customers detailing the equipment required and proposed costs.

The Candidate

For this Junior Sales Engineer role, we are looking for a candidate with:

• The ability to put together well written proposals.
• A desire to carve out a career in sales in the engineering sector
• A commercial nous with the ability to cost equipment.
• A team player who can fit well into a close-knit team
• Someone who can work well at speed with tight deadlines on proposals required.
• Someone local to the Leicester area with the role being office based.
