Year 1 Class Teacher – Primary School, Melton Mowbray
Location: LE13
Salary: £150-£200 per day
Contract Type: Full-time
Start Date: 4th January 2027

Are you a passionate and nurturing Key Stage 1 teacher looking to make a real difference? Smile Education are seeking an enthusiastic Year 1 Class Teacher, with QTS, to join this friendly and inclusive primary school in Melton Mowbray, starting after the Christmas break. This is a long-term position but could also be a permanent positon if this is suitable for the receruited teacher and school.

Our client primary school is a vibrant and diverse community where children are at the heart of everything they do. They are committed to providing a warm, stimulating, and supportive environment in which all children can thrive, grow, and develop a lifelong love of learning.  The school is easily located, close to the centre of Melton, with good car parking.

You will lead a Year 1 class, creating a safe, engaging and purposeful learning space. You will plan and deliver a broad and balanced EYFS curriculum that supports both academic progress and social development, while working closely with their dedicated SLT.
We are looking for someone who:

• Is a qualified teacher (QTS) with experience or a strong interest in Key Stage 1 teaching.
• Has a clear understanding of the curriculum, phonics and child development.
• Builds positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
• Brings creativity, patience, and energy to the classroom.
• Is committed to inclusive, high-quality teaching and learning for all.
