Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people? We are working with a welcoming and supportive SEMH school in Lytham to recruit a KS2/KS3 SEN Teacher to join their team from December.
This is an exciting opportunity to teach within a nurturing environment where you can focus on building positive relationships and delivering engaging lessons that inspire students to achieve their potential. With class sizes of no more than five pupils, you'll have the time and opportunity to provide personalised support and make a lasting impact on every learner.
Your Role
As the school's KS2/KS3 SEN Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across Key Stages 2 and 3.
- Plan, prepare and assess lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with SEMH and additional needs.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and academic progress.
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Create a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
- Adapt your teaching to support pupils with a range of learning needs and barriers to education.
- Support pupils' wider development, confidence and independence.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching at KS2 and/or KS3.
- A passion for supporting pupils with additional needs and barriers to learning.
- Excellent classroom management and relationship-building skills.
- A patient, resilient and flexible approach to teaching.
- The ability to adapt lessons to meet individual pupil needs.
- Previous experience within an SEMH, SEND or alternative provision setting is desirable but not essential.
