Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Fitter to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in Highbridge.
Working as part of a skilled workshop team, you will be responsible for the fitting, assembly and preparation of industrial equipment and components.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a mechanical fitting or engineering background who enjoys practical work and takes pride in producing a high-quality finished product.

โข Assembly and fitting of industrial equipment and components
โข Working from engineering drawings and technical specifications
โข Measuring, aligning and fitting components accurately
โข Using a range of hand and power tools
โข Carrying out mechanical assembly and adjustments as required
โข Checking completed work to ensure it meets the required standards
โข Identifying and reporting any issues with components or finished assemblies
โข Working alongside welders, fabricators and other members of the engineering team
โข Ensuring production deadlines and quality standards are met
โข Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
โข Following all relevant health and safety procedures

โข Previous experience in a mechanical fitting, assembly or engineering role
โข Ability to read and interpret engineering or technical drawings
โข Confident using hand and power tools
โข Good mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills
โข Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
โข Able to work independently as well as part of a team
โข Reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious
โข Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment would be advantageous
