The role
Our client is looking for a Lead Surveyor to head up the commercial side of their East Midlands branch. - Overseeing valuations, applications for payment and cash collection
- Managing variations, change control and final accounts with clients
- Producing cost reports, forecasts and CVRs for branch management
- Overseeing subcontractor and supplier procurement, orders and payments
- Ensuring contract compliance, often under schedule of rates and term partnering contracts
- Building strong relationships with housing association and local authority clients
- Supporting tenders and contract renewals
What we’re looking for
- Senior Surveyor or Lead Surveyor experience, ideally in planned works, maintenance or social housing
- Experience of kitchen, bathroom, roofing, window and door replacement programmes (strongly preferred)
- Knowledge of schedule of rates, NHF and/or term partnering contracts (e.g. TPC, JCT MTC, NEC)
- Experience leading or mentoring a team
- Strong commercial awareness and reporting skills
- Confident dealing with clients at all levels
- Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or similar (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
What’s on offer
- Up to £65,000 depending on experience
- A leadership role within an established, experienced branch team
- The stability of one of the UK’s largest property services contractors
- Genuine commitment to training and career development
