Level 3 Nursery Practitioner / Early Years Educator

Job description

Internal Reference: TND-L3-LEW-0926-01
Location: Lewisham borough and surrounding areas
Salary: £29,000–£30,500 per year
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

You are already Level 3 qualified. Now you need a nursery that suits your life—not another advert that simply lists the EYFS and asks you to “work well in a team.”

Tendly is recruiting Level 3 Nursery Practitioners, Early Years Educators, Nursery Nurses and qualified Nursery Assistants for settings across:

Lewisham, Catford, Hither Green, Lee, Ladywell, Brockley, Forest Hill, Sydenham, New Cross, Deptford, Blackheath, Grove Park and nearby areas of Greenwich and Bromley.

Whether you are newly qualified, returning to Early Years or already experienced, we want to understand what would make your next move worthwhile: a shorter journey, better salary, a different age group, stronger management or progression towards Room Leader.

What the job actually involves:

• Taking responsibility for a key group of children
• Creating activities from children’s genuine interests
• Completing useful observations and realistic next steps
• Supporting daily routines without losing interaction time
• Giving parents clear updates about their child’s day
• Working confidently within baby, toddler or preschool rooms
• Maintaining strong safeguarding and safety standards
• Contributing ideas instead of simply following the same routine every day

You must:

• Hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare
• Be warm, reliable and confident engaging with children
• Understand the basics of the EYFS and safeguarding
• Be available for full-time nursery work
• Be able to commute reliably within Lewisham or surrounding areas
• Have the right to work in the UK or clearly state if sponsorship is required

Apply today and tell us your preferred location, age group and what you want from your next nursery. We will match you with opportunities that make sense for you.
