Machine Operator

Location: Corby

Pay: £13.39 per hour

Shift: Monday-Thursday 6:00am-2:00pm | Friday 6:00am-1:00pm

About the Company

Our client is a well-established global manufacturer with over 60 years of industry expertise. They are leaders in producing rollers, motorised pulleys, drum motors, drive rollers, and other key components used in material handling machinery.

The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator to join a busy and growing production team. This role involves operating and setting up machinery, ensuring products meet strict quality standards, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect products visually and dimensionally to ensure they meet specifications
• Operate and set up machines as instructed by the supervisor
• Load, move, and feed raw materials into machinery
• Carry out basic machine maintenance and lubrication
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in line with Health & Safety standards
• Check work orders, drawings, and raw materials before production
• Perform routine operational maintenance on assigned machines

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar manufacturing or production role
• Strong skills in manual turning, milling, lathe work, or grinding
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Reliable, flexible, and eager to learn new skills
• A positive team player with a proactive attitude
• Comfortable working to schedules and deadlines
