Job Purpose

Our client, a leading provider of integrated facilities management and infrastructure solutions is hiring for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Electrician to support a dedicated regional facilities management contract across Shell retail forecourts within the regional patch.

This is a varied mobile maintenance role covering the electrical maintenance of Shell's retail environments alongside the growing EV charging infrastructure across the portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, electrical fault-finding and repairs, while also supporting general building maintenance across the forecourts.

This will include basic plumbing, fabric repairs, and other minor maintenance activities as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance across a regional portfolio of Shell retail forecourts.
  • Maintain, fault-find, and repair commercial EV charging infrastructure.
  • Diagnose electrical faults and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
  • Undertake electrical testing, inspection, and remedial works.
  • Support the maintenance of retail environments, including general building fabric and basic plumbing repairs.
  • Accurately record completed works using mobile technology.
  • Work independently across a mobile regional portfolio while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified NVQ Level 3 Electrician, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, and a valid ECS card.
  • City & Guilds 2391-21, or an equivalent inspection and testing qualification, is beneficial.
  • Previous experience working within Facilities Management, Building Services, Commercial, or Retail environments.
  • Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience.
  • Ideally, previous experience maintaining commercial EV charging points and infrastructure.
  • Experience with Alpitronic and/or Tritium charging systems would be highly desirable.
  • Multi-skilled maintenance capability, with experience in basic plumbing, fabric repairs, and general building maintenance.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Training & Development

For the right individual, the client will fund the City & Guilds 2921 EV Charging course following a successful appointment, providing the opportunity to gain a recognised EV charging qualification and develop specialist skills within this rapidly growing sector.

Manufacturer and product-specific training will also be provided where required, supporting development across the EV charging infrastructure used throughout the Shell contract.

The Opportunity

You will be joining a specialist engineering team supporting a high-profile Shell retail contract, with responsibility for maintaining both the forecourt retail environment and EV charging infrastructure.

This is an ideal opportunity for a qualified electrical maintenance engineer who wants to broaden their skill set and build a career within the rapidly expanding EV charging industry.
