Salary depends on experience and pay scale position. The maximum applies to candidates with substantial teaching experience.

About the Role
Help young people overcome barriers to learning as a Maths Intervention Specialist at a school in Watford. Teaching groups of up to four pupils, you will deliver focused, personalised support that builds mathematical understanding and confidence.
You will work with Key Stage 3 pupils aged 11–14 and GCSE pupils aged 14–16, identifying gaps and breaking concepts into manageable steps. Small groups allow you to tailor explanations, provide time for practice and questions, and adjust sessions as pupils progress.
This Maths Intervention Specialist role suits a qualified maths or primary teacher with strong subject knowledge and experience teaching secondary-age pupils. A supportive ethos and structured environment will help you focus on purposeful teaching, combining high expectations with patience and encouragement.
