Job Description:

Mechanical Engineer (PPM’s & Maintenance)

Pay: £41,000-£46,000 per annum+ shift allowance + Overtime Available (OTE £45,000+)
Location: Nuneaton, Warwickshire
Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Rotating shifts: 06:00–14:00, 14:00–22:00, 22:00–06:00
Overtime: Available at enhanced rates
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Interaction Recruitment is supporting a well-established manufacturing business in their search for a Maintenance Engineer. You’ll play a key role in keeping production running efficiently through a mix of planned and reactive maintenance, while maintaining high safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs across plant and production equipment
• Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and maximise output
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability and efficiency
• Accurately record maintenance activities and contribute to site audits/compliance

Requirements

• Engineering qualification or time-served experience
• Background in manufacturing, production, or heavy industry
• Ability to work a rotating 3-shift pattern (days, lates, nights)
• Strong fault-finding and hands-on maintenance skills
• Additional skills such as welding, fabrication, or plant maintenance (desirable)
