Job description
Job Title: Field service engineerBasic Salary: £33,000–£38,000
OTE: £39,188–£45,125 (based on 5 hours' overtime per week)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm, 40hrs
Due to an increasing workload, we are recruiting for a forklift engineer – you will be working for a well-established, employee-focused forklift and material handling company.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing servicing, maintenance and repair work on a broad range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment
- Identifying and resolving mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues
- Carrying out LOLER inspections to ensure all equipment remains fully compliant
- Completing safety checks and pre-delivery inspections
- Responding to breakdowns and conducting reactive maintenance to reduce customer downtime
- Effectively organising and managing your workload and service schedule
- Accurately filling out service reports and job sheets
- Communicating with parts departments to ensure the correct components are sourced and installed
What you’ll need:
- Experience as a Forklift engineer ideally
- Proven experience of diesel engines
- Strong experience with electrics, hydraulics and diagnostic skills
- Full UK driving licence
Your Package:
- Basic Salary: £33,000–£38,000
- OTE: £39,188–£45,125 (based on 5 hours' overtime per week)
- OTE: £45,376–£52,250 (based on 10 hours' overtime per week)
- Overtime paid at 1.5x
- Company pension scheme
