Are you a Workshop Operative, Labourer or practically minded individual looking for a stable, workshop-based position offering hands-on training and the opportunity to develop into a skilled engineering role?

The company is an established provider of specialist materials handling equipment and is looking to expand its workshop team. They are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, practical ability and a willingness to learn, with previous mechanical or workshop experience beneficial but not essential.

In this role, you will initially support the preparation of used machinery, assisting with general workshop duties and ensuring equipment is ready for customer delivery. Following approximately a year in the position, there will be opportunities to receive further training and progress into new equipment preparation, with the longer-term potential to develop into a skilled engineering role.

The Role:

• Workshop-based position supporting the preparation of used equipment
• General labouring, cleaning and machinery preparation duties
• Assisting engineers with equipment inspections and workshop activities
• Supporting the movement and organisation of equipment within the workshop
• Training and progression into new equipment preparation and engineering roles

The Person:

• Labouring, workshop, mechanical or similar practical background
• Semi-skilled candidates encouraged to apply
• Good work ethic, practical ability and willingness to learn
• Full UK driving licence essential
• Forklift licence desirable but not essential
