NPD Technologist

Job description

We're recruiting an NPD Technologist to join the product development team of a leading food manufacturer.

This is a hands-on role managing new and modified chilled / short shelf-life products from concept through to factory launch, working closely with NPD, Technical, Commercial, Marketing and Production teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage NPD and EPD projects against agreed timelines
• Develop chilled and short shelf-life food products
• Coordinate and attend factory trials, product sampling and shelf-life testing
• Support industrial validations, costings and product documentation
• Manage project critical paths and communicate progress to stakeholders
• Research food trends and identify new product opportunities
• Coordinate pre-launch, launch and post-launch activities
• Support successful product handover into manufacturing

You'll ideally have:

• Practical experience of factory trials, sampling and shelf-life analysis
• Strong project and time management skills
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to manage multiple projects and work independently
• A proactive, hands-on approach to product development
• Degree or equivalent in Food Science, Food Technology or a related discipline would be advantageous
