Job description

We are recruiting for an experienced Online Vehicle Diagnostic Technician, Diagnostic Technician, Master Technician or Vehicle Technician to join an office-based automotive technical support team in Nottingham.

Applicants must have strong vehicle diagnostics experience and the right to work in the UK. A Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is highly preferred.

Location: Nottingham (office based)
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience, up to £45,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15 am – 5:15 pm (42.5 hours) NO WEEKENDS

Online Vehicle Diagnostic Technician Role
  • Diagnose complex vehicle faults remotely using specialist diagnostic systems
  • Carry out module programming, coding and key programming
  • Interpret diagnostic trouble codes, live data and technical information
  • Provide technical support and repair guidance to customers and Vehicle Technicians
  • Recommend corrective actions to support accurate first-time repairs
  • Maintain accurate records of diagnostic procedures and outcomes
  • Keep up to date with automotive diagnostic technology, software and repair procedures

Online Vehicle Diagnostic Technician Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Diagnostic Technician, Master Technician, Vehicle Technician or Automotive Technician
  • Strong vehicle diagnostic and fault-finding experience
  • Excellent knowledge of vehicle mechanical, electrical and electronic systems
  • Experience using automotive diagnostic software and equipment
  • Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent is highly preferred
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Right to work in the UK
