Job description

We are recruiting an experienced Parts Advisor to join our established commercial vehicle dealership in Leicester. This full-time, permanent opportunity offers a salary of up to £30,000, depending on experience, alongside excellent manufacturer training and development.

This Parts Advisor role is ideal for an automotive parts professional seeking career progression within a supportive Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle environment.

Duties:

• In this Parts Advisor position, advise customers and workshop colleagues on parts, accessories and suitable alternatives.
• Handle parts enquiries, quotations and orders from initial contact through to fulfilment.
• Maintain accurate stock records and assist with stock checks and audits.
• Receive, check, store and pick stock accurately.
• Prepare parts for workshop jobs, prioritising urgent vehicle-off-road requirements.
• Keep customers updated regarding stock availability, delivery times and backorders.
• Process returns, warranty claims and delivery discrepancies.
• Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to support departmental sales and profit targets.
• Maintain a safe, organised and efficient parts department.

Requirements:

• We are seeking a Parts Advisor with previous experience in an automotive parts, dealership, motor factor or commercial vehicle environment.
• Knowledge of commercial vehicle parts and accessories is advantageous.
• Strong customer service, communication and organisational skills.
• Good IT skills, including experience with parts catalogues and stock management systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, commercially aware approach.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
