Job description
PCB Technologist Take ownership of complex electronics investigations and build specialist expertise in component failure analysis. Essential Requirements - British Citizen with eligibility to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance
- Experience fault finding circuit card assemblies to component level using electronic test equipment
- Understanding of electronic design principles and printed circuit board manufacturing processes
- Ability to manage technical work packages while balancing cost, quality and schedule
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders in an engineering or manufacturing environment
Salary and Rewards Up to £40,500 depending on experience, plus an annual performance related bonus of up to £2,500.
What You Will Be Doing - Investigate component failures through hands on fault finding, laboratory testing and root cause analysis
- Support the development of advanced failure analysis processes, methods and equipment
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing and test teams to resolve complex technical issues
- Contribute to the improvement of printed circuit board and circuit card assembly technologies
- Produce technical reports and support the development of engineering standard
- Collaborate with UK and international stakeholders on technology and process improvement activities
Your Experience - Fault diagnosis and repair of electronic assemblies at component level
- Experience using electronic test and measurement equipment
- Knowledge of printed circuit boards, electronic components and manufacturing techniques
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to deliver work to agreed timescales
- Analytical approach to problem solving and technical investigations
