Platform Engineer

DevOps Platform Engineer – Leicester, East Midlands, Leicestershire
 
We’re looking for an experienced DevOps / Platform Engineer to build and maintain the internal platform that enables development teams to deliver software quickly, securely and reliably across cloud and on-premises environments.
 
THe Platform Engineer will work across Kubernetes, GitOps, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, observability and security, while helping create self-service tools and automation that make developers’ lives easier.
 
Key skills for this Platform Engineer:
 

• Strong production experience with Kubernetes, Docker and Linux
• AWS or another major cloud platform
• Terraform, Ansible, Helm and Argo CD
• CI/CD using GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar
• Monitoring and observability, ideally OpenTelemetry, Prometheus and Grafana
• Networking, security, secrets management and disaster recovery
• Scripting/programming with Go, Python or Bash
• Experience with on-premises/bare-metal environments

 
Experience with OpenShift, K3s, Docker Swarm, Cilium/eBPF, Backstage or AI-assisted engineering tools would be advantageous.
