Job Description:

PLC, Controls & Robotics Engineer

We’re hiring a PLC, Controls & Robotics Engineer to work on advanced automation projects that combine robotics, CNC machine integration, and industrial control systems.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll be directly involved in designing, programming, and commissioning complete automated manufacturing solutions used by leading engineering customers across the UK and internationally.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Programming and commissioning PLC-based automation systems
• Developing HMI solutions for industrial machines and cells
• Working with FANUC robots (integration, programming, and support)
• Integrating robots with CNC machine tools and production systems
• Working across industrial networks (Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, TCP/IP)
• Supporting full system builds, including electrical wiring, panel build, and mechanical fitting
• Commissioning systems on customer sites (UK and overseas travel)
• Troubleshooting and supporting FAT/SAT and live production systems
• Implementing and validating machine safety systems (PLC safety & robot DCS)

Requirements

• Level 4 (or equivalent) in Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics or similar
• Full UK driving licence
