CNC PRESS BRAKE SETTER

PERMANENT OPPORTUNITY

PAY: £14.00 - £16.00 per hour + £21 nightshift allowance

HOURS: Nights (Sun – Thurs 22:00 – 06:00)

Our client is hiring for experienced CNC Press Brake Setters to join their nightshift fabrication team. This is a hands‑on role for skilled setters who can confidently operate CNC press brakes, interpret engineering drawings and produce high‑quality folded components to tight tolerances.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC press brakes
• Read engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Select correct tooling and machine settings
• Produce accurate folded components to tight tolerances
• Complete first‑off and in‑process quality checks
• Use measuring equipment including verniers, rulers and angle gauges
• Adjust machine settings to maintain accuracy
• Work to production schedules and meet output targets

Skills & Experience

Essential

• Previous experience as a Press Brake Setter/Operator
• Confident setting and operating CNC press brakes
• Ability to bend a range of materials and thicknesses
• Strong ability to read engineering drawings
• Experience selecting tooling and adjusting machine settings
• Able to work accurately to tight tolerances
• Good understanding of fabrication processes
• Excellent attention to detail
• Reliable, positive attitude, strong work ethic
• Able to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable

• Experience with Amada, Bystronic, Trumpf or similar machinery
• Counterbalance forklift licence
• Crane/lifting equipment experience
• Fabrication or sheet metal background
