Part-Time Primary Teacher

Location: Leicester, Leicestershire
Pay: £180–£230 per day, depending on experience
Contract: Part-time | Long-term | Temporary-to-Permanent
Start Date: September 2026

Luma Education Recruitment is seeking an experienced Part-Time Primary Teacher to join a supportive school in Leicester from September 2026.

This is a great opportunity for a qualified teacher looking for a part-time position, with potential for a longer-term or temporary-to-permanent role. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons, manage classroom behaviour and support pupils across the primary age range.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Teach a broad range of primary subjects in line with the school curriculum.
• Create a calm, structured and inclusive classroom environment.
• Promote positive behaviour, pupil engagement and effective learning.
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet a range of learning needs and abilities.
• Follow school policies, routines and individual pupil support plans.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Previous experience teaching in UK primary schools.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to differentiate learning for pupils with a range of abilities and needs.
• Flexible, adaptable and confident working across different year groups.
• Enhanced DBS clearance, or willingness to obtain one, prior to starting.
