Job description

Role: Primary Teacher
Location: Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire
Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract: Flexible roles (day-to-day, short-term, long-term and temp-to-perm)
Salary: £34,069 - £46,940 per annum, pro-rata (depending on experience, role and/or qualifications)

About the role

Heart of Supply is growing across Grimsby and North East Lincolnshire, and we're looking for brilliant Primary Teachers to grow with us.

Whether you're an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to build your classroom experience, an experienced teacher wanting more flexibility, or simply ready for a change, we'd love to hear from you.

We're working with primary schools across Grimsby and the surrounding area, with opportunities throughout EYFS, KS1 and KS2. From flexible day-to-day supply and short-term cover to longer-term teaching roles, we'll get to know what you're actually looking for and help find work that fits around you.

We're looking for confident, reliable and adaptable Primary Supply Teachers who enjoy walking into a new classroom, quickly building relationships and making a positive impact – whether you're there for a day, a week or much longer.

About the schools

We work with primary schools across Grimsby and the surrounding North East Lincolnshire area, supporting them with day-to-day absence, planned cover and longer-term staffing requirements.

Every school is different, so we take the time to get to know what you're looking for too. Whether you love EYFS, feel most at home in KS1, are an experienced KS2 Teacher or are happy working across the primary age range, we'll aim to introduce you to schools you'll enjoy teaching in.

What you will need:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and recent experience in a UK primary setting
  • A nurturing, flexible teaching approach with the ability to connect quickly with pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
  • Confident classroom presence with strong behaviour management rooted in positive reinforcement
  • The ability to follow pre-set work while bringing your own creativity and energy to the classroom
  • Clear communication, a proactive attitude, and the ability to build rapport with pupils and staff alike
  • A minimum of 6 weeks’ teaching experience in the UK

We’re fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. All applicants will undergo thorough vetting, including enhanced DBS (with children’s barred list check and Update Service registration), references, and online checks as part of our compliance process.

What we offer you:

  • Competitive weekly PAYE pay – no umbrella companies
  • Complete flexibility around the days you want to work
  • Day-to-day, short-term and longer-term teaching opportunities
  • Opportunities across local Lincolnshire primary schools
  • A dedicated, experienced consultant who gets to know you
  • Access to CPD and professional development through The National College
  • Simple Recommend a Friend scheme
  • Ongoing support throughout your time working with us
  • A small, independent agency that genuinely cares about getting it right

Heart of Supply is proud to be an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all suitably qualified candidates. We do not discriminate on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation. All appointments are made in line with safer recruitment practices.
