TeacherActive is recruiting qualified Primary Teachers for regular supply work across Ilkeston and the surrounding DE7 region. We are seeking dependable, enthusiastic professionals who enjoy working across different classrooms, fostering positive relationships, and supporting children to achieve their potential. There is an opportunity for regular supply work to evolve into a long-term placement, allowing you to build lasting connections and become an integral part of the school community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lessons following the school’s planning.

• Adapt activities to accommodate varying abilities and learning needs.

• Create a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.

• Adhere to school behaviour policies and maintain consistent routines.

• Assess pupil's understanding and provide clear handover notes.

• Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants and school staff.

• Follow safeguarding policies and procedures diligently.

 

The successful Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• Experience teaching in a primary school setting.

• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum.

• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.

• An adaptable and engaging teaching style.

• Reliable, proactive and committed work ethic.

• Ability to integrate quickly into diverse school environments.

• Strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil well-being.

• An Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
