We are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Manager to join a growing food manufacturing business based in Nottinghamshire.

The business specialises in the growing, preparation and packing of fresh root vegetables and is looking for a hands-on Production Manager to oversee day-to-day production operations and help drive efficiency, quality and performance across the site.

As Production Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Managing the day-to-day production operation and ensuring targets are achieved.

• Leading, motivating and developing the production team.

• Ensuring products are produced safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

• Monitoring production performance, waste, downtime and output.

• Ensuring all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures are followed.

• Working closely with other departments to ensure smooth production and packing operations.

• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, productivity and efficiency.

• Supporting production planning and ensuring customer requirements are met.

We are looking for someone with:

• Previous Production Management experience within food manufacturing.

• Experience managing production teams within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• A strong understanding of food safety, quality and hygiene standards.

• Good knowledge of production processes, KPIs and continuous improvement.

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• A hands-on approach with the ability to lead from the front.

Experience within fresh produce, food processing, agricultural products or vegetable packing would be particularly advantageous.

• £40,000 salary
